The team of the Vyzov Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Relations took an active part in the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipation Summit (GESDA Summit), discussing with colleagues from all over the world topical issues of international scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange.

This year's GESDA Summit was dedicated to the theme of “The Great Acceleration” and brought together scientists, diplomats, politicians and heads of international organizations to explore the possibilities of accelerating the development of science and its application to solve global problems. The summit program paid special attention to the topics of climate, space, food and quantum computing.

As last year, the summit was held at the CERN Science Gateway, which further emphasizes the interconnection of diplomacy, science and technology. The participation of the Vyzov Foundation in the summit was an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts and strengthen existing ties. The Vyzov Foundation team presented its initiatives and projects aimed at the development of science and technology, and invited foreign colleagues to participate in the foundation's events.

"The GESDA Summit is an up–to-date and timely format, which, like "SCIENCE. DIALOGUE. TRUST." of the Vyzov Foundation, opens up new horizons. In conditions of turbulence, maintaining dialogue and personal communication becomes especially important, because it is at such meetings that ideas are born that can change our future," said Elena Eremenko, Vice President of the Vyzov Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Relations.

The Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) is a Swiss Foundation initiated by the Swiss Federal Government and the City and Canton of Geneva, whose vision is to “use the future to build the present” by bringing together different communities to jointly anticipate scientific and technological advancements and, based on them, develop inclusive and global solutions for a sustainable future.
